As the owner and operator of one of St. Petersburg Florida's multi-faceted food operations, Jo-El's Delicatessen & Marketplace, Joel began supplying local hot dog carts with the famed Sabrett brand of hot dogs in the 1980's. Joel has always been dedicated to providing the best possible service to his clients and doing everything that he can to support their efforts. It's no surprise that he immediately began to get involved in helping his hot dog cart clients with their State of Florida food service licensing. Before he knew it, Joel found himself the largest approved provider of state required full commissary support services in the entire west half of Florida for hot dog carts... A title that he still holds today!

In the 1960's, Joel was employed by a national manufacturer of recreational vehicles. He become a national purchasing agent as well as the director of operations for several large factories throughout the United States. Before coming to Florida in 1980, Joel and his wife Ellen operated a successful van conversion business in Portland, Oregon.
